Sunset Beach Resort facilities: two infinity pools, the beach bar fire show and the spa
Sunset Beach Resort has two infinity pools (indoor and beachside, both 7 am to 7 pm), its own stretch of Long Beach, a beach bar with a late fire show, one restaurant, a spa and a gym. There is no kids club, and the beach has fewer loungers than guests would like — the two weak spots.
Facts checked October 2026 against the hotel’s published information.

What each facility is really like
Block A, 2nd floor · 7 am – 7 pm
The indoor infinity pool
A long pool inside Block A whose glass edge looks out over the gardens to the sea, under a curved white ceiling with a strip of warm light. Guests like it for a sunset swim but find it small for lengths.
Good for a swim out of the midday sun, or when the sea is rough. Not for serious lap swimming or a day of pool lounging.

The outdoor pool and the beach
A curving pool with decking and loungers, a few steps from the hotel’s stretch of sand. Loungers, umbrellas and towels on the beach are free for guests, but there are only around thirty, and they go early in high season.
Good for morning swims and late-afternoon sun before the bar fills up. Not for guests who want a lounger reserved without getting up early.

Sunset Beach Bar and the fire show
The beach bar opened in 2016, before the resort around it, and is the hotel’s social centre: sunset cocktails, seafood, DJ sets and, on show nights, fire dancers on the sand. Watching is free; front tables can carry a minimum spend in the evening.
Good for couples and groups who want an evening without leaving the hotel. Not for light sleepers in nearby rooms — the music carries.

Sunset Fusion and breakfast
The only restaurant apart from the beach bar: an Asian-European menu indoors and on an upper terrace, and the breakfast buffet from about 7 to 10 am. Breakfast is widely praised; dinner prices run above the cafés on Tran Hung Dao.
Good for a long breakfast before the beach and an easy dinner on a rainy night. Not for every evening — the street food in Duong Dong is two kilometres away.

Sunset Spa and the gym
The spa has treatment rooms for Thai, Swedish and hot-stone massage and facials, booked in advance and charged separately, plus a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The small gym on the same floor has free weights and cardio machines with a view through tall windows.
Good for an evening massage after the beach, or a workout before breakfast. Not for a full-day spa programme — it is a compact hotel spa.

Making the most of the facilities
01
Claim a lounger before 9 am
There are only around thirty loungers on the beach. In high season, go down early or use the pool deck and move to the sand later.
02
Book the spa a day ahead
Treatments are by appointment. Evening slots after the beach go first, so book at reception the day before.
03
Check show nights at check-in
The fire show does not run every night and can be cancelled by wind or rain. Ask which nights are planned so you do not book dinner in town on the wrong one.
Honest note
Facilities are compact for a 117-room resort. The indoor pool is small, the outdoor pool can feel cool, the beach runs short of loungers and the bar’s music carries across the pool area in the evening. Families who need a kids club should look elsewhere.
Questions about the facilities at Sunset Beach Resort
Is the outdoor pool at Sunset Beach Resort heated?
Not reliably. One tour operator lists the outdoor pool as heated, but several guests describe the water as cool, especially in the morning and in the rainy season. The hotel itself does not advertise heating. In the dry season the sun warms it through the day, so the afternoon is the most comfortable time for a long swim.
Do I pay for loungers or towels on the beach at Sunset Beach Resort?
No. Loungers, umbrellas and beach towels on the hotel’s stretch of Long Beach are free for guests. The catch is numbers: guests count around thirty loungers, and some report people reserving them early. Vendors further along the public beach rent their own loungers, so check before you sit on one outside the hotel area.
Is there a minimum spend at the beach bar at Sunset Beach Resort?
Guests mention a minimum spend on the front VIP tables after 8 pm and a shorter drinks list in the evening, such as beer sold in sets. Tables further back, the pool area and the sand are open without one. If you want a front table for the fire show, ask the bar staff what applies that night when you sit down.
Does Sunset Beach Resort have room service?
Yes, but with limited hours rather than around the clock; the hotel does not publish the exact times. The room-service menu is a short version of the restaurant’s. For a late snack, the cafés and convenience stores on Tran Hung Dao, a few minutes up the lane, stay open later and cost less.
Are there water sports on the beach at Sunset Beach Resort?
The hotel’s own photos show banana boats and jet skis off the beach at sunset, run by beach operators rather than the hotel. Prices and safety vary, so agree the price and duration first and check that life jackets are provided. Snorkelling and diving trips leave from dive shops about 800 m away on Tran Hung Dao.
Can I use the pool and showers after check-out at Sunset Beach Resort?
Ask at reception. Luggage storage is free, and the pools stay open until 7 pm, but the hotel does not publish a policy on day use after check-out or on a shower room. Late check-out is on request and may be charged; for an evening flight, ask on arrival what is possible on your last day.
Does Sunset Beach Resort have meeting or event space?
Yes, there is a meeting room available for a fee, and the beach bar hosts parties and events with its own sound and lighting. The hotel does not publish capacities. For a wedding, group dinner or company event, contact the hotel directly with your dates and numbers; this site cannot arrange or price events.
